I think today must have been the nicest day we’ve had since I got here. I was warm enough to be out in a t-shirt, and it hasn’t clouded up at once! I walked down to the Science centre, which is a fair way, but didn’t go inside because it’s Sunday and thence closed. This was okay though because I hadn’t actually intended to go there – I was just out for a long walk along the Clyde and wound up there. What a cool building! The walk down was gorgeous and I had lots of oppourtunities to photograph Glasgow loking its sharpest. I must show off the city I’ve been living in!
I really wanted to go in here, but it was closed. The building just to the right, however was open, albeit almost completely empty. There was a little news shop in here that I stopped at for lunch, and some open public washrooms as well. I was grateful to have found both.
To get to the side of the Clyde with the Glasgow Science Centre, I took a road that led over a very interesting bridge:
This took me back over to the North side of the Clyde – I had been walking down a path on the South side, for novelty’s sake. It has a sort of seawall-like path. Very nice, but not very busy at all. In fact, I encountered very few people at all today, even though I walked through a big open shopping-plaza area with open restaurants and an open casino. It was weird. But hose others that I did happen by seemed nice enough, so it wasn’t like it was a really unfriendly area.
I left by a different route than I came and to get back to roads that I knew, I went through this nifty red tunnel going over the highway. I was quite taken with it.

This tunnel led me from the GSC back to more familiar roads that I could get home by. It was warm and full of sunshine.

Thankfully, most of the dirty was on the outside. The weathering of this clear material actually gave the view of the surrounding city a softened, glowing feeling.
This is back on the North side of the Clyde now, but still new territory for me.
Now I’m back in more familiar territory. This is west Glasgow.
And that’s pretty much that for today’s adventure. Pretty, wasn’t it?

That picture of the glass building with the church reflected in it is SO cool!
That soap dispenser is NOT! Don’t touch it. It’s obviously evil and full of germy creatures. *wiggles fingers dramatically* GERMY CREEEEATURES!
